jantje was born on May 25th, 1927. Jantje's father was jans Sikkenga and her mother was aaltje geugies. Her paternal grandparents were hendrik Sikkenga and jantje jonker; her maternal grandparents were jan geugies and geertien Katerberg. She had two brothers and two sisters, named hendrik, jan, geertje and frederika. She was the second youngest of the five children. She died at the age of 93 on March 21st, 2021 in Emmen.
