jan was born on March 13th, 1926. Jan's father was jans Sikkenga and his mother was aaltje geugies. His paternal grandparents were hendrik Sikkenga and jantje jonker; his maternal grandparents were jan geugies and geertien Katerberg. He had a brother and three sisters, named hendrik, geertje, jantje and frederika. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 64 on November 10th, 1990.
